We believe that everyone has God-given gifts and talents they can use to serve their community. Share your gifts and talents by serving at Heartisans! We accept groups as well as individuals for ongoing or one-time volunteer opportunities.

Julie Lynn Ashley
Volunteer Coordinator
Julie Lynn Ashley graduated from Marian University with a Masters of Science in Thanatology and from Cedarville University with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications. Julie Lynn comes to Heartisans with previous experience recruiting, training, and overseeing church and hospice volunteer teams.
She lives in Longview with her husband Doug and has 2 sons in college, one at Mississippi College and one at Texas A&M. Julie Lynn has volunteered with two local hospices doing both patient visits and grief support, in the food pantry for Longview Community Ministries, with Coats for Kids, and in the Christian Heritage Classical School library. She attends Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Longview where she has served as a small group leader and volunteered with VBS and choir. Julie Lynn enjoys the upbeat team atmosphere at Heartisans as volunteers work together using their unique gifts and talents for a common purpose.
